Concentration | noknoi
The world comes to a total quiet whenever Jackson is working on something.
This usually doesn’t happen when there are people around, because other people never tend to understand what it takes to achieve total concentration.
But there is one person who is an exception to that rule. Jackson knows him by the name Eleven and he’s only given the other man the name ‘Hawk’ in return. Actually he’s pretty sure no one else in this entire squadron knows his real name - at least not because he’s given it to them.
Eleven came to him a while back, speaking of a project he wanted to try out, but needing help with the technicalities, because.. Well, Eleven’s a pilot, not a tech, and from the time they’ve spent together working on this thing, it is clear that there is still a lot the other male needs to learn. Jackson wouldn’t put him anywhere near an engine control room yet, but he’s decent enough to do some of the work as well by now.
They’ve already been working on this thing for weeks, after all. Sporadically, he has to admit, but still. Slowly but surely, Eleven is learning more and more from him. For the most part, a tech job is trial and error, though, in Jackson’s opinion. That doesn’t mean he’s necessarily right.
These days, they’ve managed to come to a point where the world comes to a total quiet while he’s working, even if Eleven’s around. So when he glances up after an undefined amount of time and spots the other male sitting a little further across from him, he’s actually surprised for a moment. He’s already forgotten the other was even around.
“Is it working?” he inquires, waiting for the other male to look up so he won’t interrupt him in a busy moment. “Or do you need some help?”
