              WORRY.      it   etches   his   features  ,   clouds   his   thoughts.   the   bond   between    padawan   and   master   lies   strained   ,   GRIEF   pulls   taut.   yet   anakin   finds   difficulty   in   confronting   obi-wan’s   SILENCE  ,   for   visage   once   FULL   OF   WARMTH   is   stricken   with   darkness.    ‘    master?   ‘       and    his   voice   is   small  ,    lacking   his   usual    CONFIDENCE.    ‘     you   don’t   talk   anymore.   master   YODA   is   even   worried.    ‘      he   knows   mention   of   another   master’s   concern   may   not   IMPROVE    the  situation  ,   yet   desperation   has   turned   into   frustration.     ‘    we   are   MEANT   to   communicate.    ‘

   and he MEANS IT -- wesen were his specialty as far as he was concerned.    surely a hexenbiest was always a handful, especially when she seemed to    be the kind that had been TURNED, but he had survived adalind (and eve,    but he’s better off not thinking of eve), which granted him better experience    than any OUTSIDER, as such was the case of the man before him. 

   to HELL with it, burkhardt figures: he’s broken enough rules to make the wesen    council hate the very mention of his name, so lets that small reminder go.

            “An old WOMBAT told me that my plans aren’t SUCCESSFUL      ” hushes were intact to keep the communication level at low magnitudes. Concealing themselves from theENEMY was easy - being discovered was but a BREEZE compared to sneaking out ventilation shafts where echoes could be heard. Surprisingly, this time around, the young Padawan came up empty handed with a plan that COULD help them gain the upper hand in battle. “       so please, DARLING, I insist: why don’t you carry on this MISSION instead?”

He always had a plan. ( Not always a good plan, but always some sort of plan. ) Well, always except for right now, it would seem. “ Call me ‘darling’ again and my plan is going to be shoving you out in the open and running, ” she hissed at him under her breath, though the threat lacked both venom and sincerity. ( An utterly empty threat, and they both knew it. ) 

“ We could just... take them head on, ” the murmured suggestion was accompanied by her hand drifting to the hilt of her lightsaber, “ We can take them on together. ”

MESS,” the older of              the two kenobi murmurs under his breath as he tends to              the wound on his younger brother’s forehead. “i’ll have a              talk with the principal later, too.”

              “---sometimes it feels as if you have put me in a PEDESTAL.”               the elder kenobi murmurs, voice slightly strained. did his brother               KNOW half of it? no, he didn’t -- but there had been active               efforts of his part to keep the boy in the dark about his doings.               lasse was many things indeed, but never GOOD or INNOCENT,               never any of the things his little brother seemed to take him for.               coughing the rawness of his throat clean, he looked away, a bit               ASHAMED. he doesn’t like lying to a child, but what else should               he do? “one day you will come to learn all the faults in me you               remain blissfully blind to, ben. one day, but not now. for now i’ll               just thank you for your kindness.”

             ---if only there were more people as sweet as his protege, then              perhaps this world wouldn’t be such a bitter place.
