► "Not now."
She meant it too, with her tone and the way she made sure to not look up at Jonghun, peering over her shoulder instead of getting to the next customer waiting behind in his station. It was a thing to like the way his demeanor brought a brighter touch to the Tile, it was another thing to like him at all when he was hovering around her like a mouse sniffing on cheese. She hated it. It meant that he brought everything and everyone he'd touched for the day and he did not know that of course, human.
Still it unnerved her and she shut the book she had on her lap with a loud enough noise ot have him scamper off and if it did not work, maybe looking up at him and offering one of her trademark I really don't care look would, she hoped so at the very least. So did it, which worked, even if he had the slightest grin which in return had her snickering at watching him do a little dance while he went away to do his job. Finally.
Yet peace did not come with his departure, because as it seemed no one would let her finish the latest treat she'd permitted herself to enjoy for the day. A day lacking in appointments for her, but she would tend to the reception and booking. So she was alert when the door of the parlor was pushed open but then she was just alert because the stench that followed did not tell her anything good at all. She didn't care what people called it during these days it was still witchcraft to her and it always would be, always smelling of sacrifices and blood. Blood that was taken off innocent lives. What often followed them was never good enough to stay in the same place as them. Although they tended to be a good balance as well, they tended to follow the paths of healers. This did not smell like a healer.
Her stepping inside of her parlor was not going to sit well with Hayeon. So that she was up and leaning over the counter, eyebrows furrowing at the sight before her, waiting to see what would unfold, what her purpose was. They always had one, they never did anything out of their will. Witches were just dangerous. Everyone did not quite fear them, but nobody liked them. It hadn't just been the humans, but also the other races as well, it was hard to be a witch, a good one--because you had to always prove yourself. Yet also be aware that no one would trust you fully enough.
Vicious tricksters.
"Can I help you?" Quick enough so that she'd be out here before Hayeon made her leave, so she asked once she'd been fed up with watching her move around the place, occupying this little room without Hayeon being able to do anything if she wanted to just do a little trick right here and then. Not with Jonghun in the back, doing a tattoo.
