Hi! I just wanted to say I really really REALLY love favor, I’ve actually accidentally fallen asleep with it still on my laptop so I look like a psycho with 65 hours on it 😭😭. Thank you for making such an amazing game and omg all the effort and time I’m sure you put into the game is insane and you can definitely tell! Also, you really inspired me to start my own visual novel even if the process is more painful than I expected (if I see runback error one more time I’m done)! What program do you use for your games if you don’t mind me asking? (Biggest fan of binary star hero too I love that game sm). Sorry for yapping! Take care of yourself, take breaks and drink water and get enough sleep! Ty for such an amazing game and I’m so excited for any future updates!

Second: Favor and BSH are both made using Renpy! Imo Renpy is the best visual novel engine to use. It may seem intimidating at first because code always kinda does, but I promise it is easier to use and more flexible than any other engine (for visual novels that is!).

I'm super flattered that I have inspired you to start to make your own visual novel! That is honestly the best compliment ever 🥰💕. Hang in there, with any engine/coding language the learning curve can be steep but I promise it will be so straight forward and easy once you get the hang of it 💪 I learned ALL of my coding via Renpy, I had absolutely 0 experience in it before I started Favor. If you hit a weird error or need help feel free to message me on discord (concreteparasite) 😊 I love helping new devs out!

I have been wanting to make a tutorial for Renpy for a while, something easy to follow along with so more people can learn to make visual novels, but I just havent had time to yet unfortunately 🫠.

I deleted the last post b/c I think I made my point and I don't want to involve all of my followers in this and put visibility on the accounts I reblogged but- Bottom line and final statement:

I am here to make games, to hype up my dev friends, to have community with others who love game dev just like me. I do not want to be involved with anyone who will publicly vent negativity about visual novels/devs or stir drama. I love this hobby too much to feel constantly burnt out every few months by this kind of thing.

I love visual novels and indie dev so so much, and I really detest the idea that visual novel devs and players are being pushed away from this community from what seems like the never-ending negativity and drama. I see you, I hear you and I apologize for any part I took in that fatigue by reblogging any of it (even if it was to disagree with the post). From now on please do not tag me or any of my games in any drama. I am not associated with any of Lillith's circle, nor do I wish to be. I have blocked everyone that I feel is associated with this negativity and I am moving on. This will be the last time I will talk about this.

I'm doing some spring cleaning and reorganized my visual novel collection, so I made a lil tiktok video because I'm pretty proud of it! 10+ years of hyper fixation 💕🥰

My collection is pretty complete as it stands, there are only a few more hard to come by items that I want but I'm sure I'll find them in time 💖

I know b/c im still writing it so I dont have much I can show, but I'm genuinely soooo excited for Favor. I'm really proud of my writing for it and I can't wait for everyone to experience the story. I'm gnawing at the bars of this cage.
