The more I think about it, the more I realize that I was legitimately raised in a fucking cult. Baptisms for the dead? Secret rituals done in specially set apart grounds to unite families for eternity? Forcing children to make a decision that will impact the rest of their lives when they're eight years old and indoctrinated? What the fuck even was that?

The sad part is I didn’t even realize how fucked the church is or that it’s all bullshit until recently,,,,like a few months ago. I’d been conditioned to think that everything is true and that I can’t come to my own conclusions and that any doubt comes from Satan. But then you start thinking about it,,,,,for me it was the thing that all the good people become gods of their own planets or whatever. Like that’s bullshit, why did I ever believe in a church that says that.

It seems as though Ao3 is working again. They have new protections (it verifies your connection before entering the site) which will hopefully protect it from future attacks. I am so fussing grateful for the volunteers who really fixed everything for free. It's amazing that they were able to do that. Losing Ao3 for over 24 hours made me realize how blessed we are for having an archive like this.
