idk how you could listen to anything nialls written and think it sounds like ed sheeran. ed sheeran has a very specific style when it comes to lyrics (that i not so secretly hate) and unless niall starts singing about the showers that are british, i think you can forget that comparison lmao
lmao, yeah, fUCK ED!! no but those are good points he’s definitely...not my favorite singer out there either, and i don’t think they sound too similar. niall’s really got that folky angle and that on ed comes across quite differently, not to mention all the (awful) rapping and techno bits on ed’s songs..and his penchant for melodies lol

I think it depends on a few things - how soon you release the album, and how well your first singles do. Like, Harry released SOTT and then the album soon after, so most people bought his album and aren’t gonna go back and buy Two Ghosts now you know? If he had waited the singles might have done better in build up to album. Or if you release a single and it bombs, you will prob release another but if that goes nowhere too that might be it for an album. timing mostly.
