Creepy Crawlies

Legs, legs, legs,

Why do you have so many?

And must you lay so many eggs?

Common decency, don’t you have any?

You intrude into my home,

Eat my food,

And make it your own.

I even found you in my hair comb.

But I must admit,

You are all quite interesting.

All organisms fit,

With wings so glistening.

For the truth really is

That I adore you all,

Despite having to take a quiz

On you for my class this fall.

Lol fantastic! I adore them, too, and it’s nice to be able to just admire and not have to take quizzes about them :P

Literally just yesterday I found out that I identify as cupioromantic aroflux, so I’m technically on the aro spectrum, but I don’t relate to a lot of common aro experiences. Pet Tarantulas

Long legged

And hairy,

You’re lovely

And scary.

My best friends

And beloved pets,

Though you might be

Some dangerous threats.

I wish I could let you

Crawl on my hand,

But if I were to drop you

You wouldn’t gracefully land.

My true loves,

Though you do not trust me,

For you’re wild animals,

And a giant is all you see.

I will forever cherish you

Until the end of my time,

Because you’re all so lovely

And I can call you mine.

Lol this is very good, really captures the emotions of being a bug parent. I’m inspired to write a poem about millipedes...
