Oh, whoops, have I been doing the Title formats wrong from my phone? Well, I guess that's how you know when I'm finally back on the computer :P. Been quite a few days, though. I do love how my Nexus 5 really is like a handheld computer in so many ways.
Anyway, today's puzzle. The ones that show up after 6 p.m. EDT are always a crapshoot for me, because of needing to feed the kids or going out with friends etc. I couldn't properly sit down and get to today's puzzle till after I a) performed a dead drop for a fellow Resistance agent, b) made dinner for the family, then c) sat down with my dinner and notebook in front of the TV because I didn't want to miss Selfie (shut up, it's a cute show.) Fortunately, those who solved the puzzle before I could even sit down to it left a few great hints in the comments section. Being terminally challenged when it comes to cardinal directions, I took a leap of faith as to what the actual answer might be (I had most of the characters correct, and could guess my way to the rest of it.)
But that isn't really today's big news on the AncSoc site: Stella got hacked and, as I'd feared, her system HAD fallen into an unsafe state. Looks like The Brotherhood Of The Snake was behind it. Chasing down their links on the Internet has been quite the project, and one I'm not sure I'm too interested in, tbh, after forcing myself to sit through the musical stylings of one Lex Cobra. I found the one music video they had to be awfully gratuitous, and I sincerely hope that they're not related to this project because they gross me out. Did wind up calling a random phone number related to ConGenement, who also share a logo with TBoTS. Got put on hold for over a minute, so hung up. All these TBoTS affiliated groups give me the heebie-jeebies. I know I should leave no stone unturned here, but I'm also kinda hoping someone else will take over digging into this avenue.
On the plus side, hey, it wasn't another chess puzzle today! Looking forward to tomorrow's, though I'm hoping it shows up earlier.
