I hate to be the person who goes all ~serious~ on your post but gender is really important for some people who aren't cis and they really like having it. I feel like this is something you know and have acknowledged and I don't want to ruin a joke but I think it's something that's super important to say because there are some non-binary dfab people who say "abolish all gender" in real seriousness and it hurts a lot of people.
yeah i'm gonna publish this so people know that i 100% understand how that joke/sentiment can come off when it's posted by someone like me. i hope it is obvious that i respect trans identities (seeing as i have one?) and i don't want to make any other trans person feel like i want to speak over them/ignore them/speak for them. i know that gender is very important to a lot of ppl, especially trans ppl who are more visibly/outwardly trans than me. i am not telling trans people to dissolve gender i am talking about ciscentric society.

From what I’ve been able to gather it started out as a norcal thing and race wasn’t a part of it but it spread through west coast hip hop. So it seems like it’s a part of aave but it didn’t originate there.
