who hogs the duvet – rachel. sam always has a second duvet on hand, just in case.
who texts/rings to check how their day is going – they both do. sam generally texts becaue he knows how important it is for rachel not to talk when she’s rehearsing or resting her voice.
who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts – sam! he likes to hand make his gifts, mostly because he can’t afford buy to expensive ones, so he makes them.
who gets up first in the morning – 90% of the time, it’s rachel. the other 10% is sam, but that doesn’t really count because 5% of the time it means he hasn’t slept at all.
who suggests new things in bed – i think they both do? after doing some research on what they want to try / etc.
who cries at movies – both. definitely both. sam is a cry baby, though. he will cry at everything and anything emotional.
who gives unprompted massages – sam does, because he knows how stressed rachel can get and she carries it in her shoulders and her back.
who fusses over the other when they’re sick – they both do. sam tries his Best™ to take care of rachel when she gets a sore throat, so when she’s properly sick - he loses his mind a little.
who gets jealous easiest – sam, because he’s insecure about losing rachel to someone better than him.
who has the most embarrassing taste in music – neither. they have almost the same interest in music.
who collects something unusual – sam. i feel like he asks rachel to get things when she goes travelling / if she goes travelling. souvenirs from shops to send back home to his siblings.
who takes the longest to get ready – by a LANDSLIDE, rachel.
who is the most tidy and organised – absolutely rachel. sam is a messy lad because he’s messy internally.
who gets most excited about the holidays – i think both of them do, equally.
who is the big spoon/little spoon – sam is the big spoon, rachel is the little spoon.
who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports – i think sam is more competitive at sports but rachel is more competitive at games.
who starts the most arguments – i think they’re both guilty of this but unintentionally half the time? sam starts a lot of arguments by saying the wrong words.
who suggests that they buy a pet – possibly sam? if they were really financially stable.
what couple traditions they have – ice skating! at least once a month. and going to see musicals together.
what tv shows they watch together – probably something about vocal training.
what other couple they hang out with – kurt/blaine, possibly santana & brittany, tina & artie? maybe.
how they spend time together as a couple – you name it, they do it / have done it.
who made the first move – sam did.
who brings flowers home – sam!

this wasn’t him. he wasn’t the guy who freezes up in the most important moments. he was the guy who took charge and tried to push the other residents out of the way to get the best cases. first day back in the o.r., finally cleared for surgery. he knows he’s been acting like he’s fine, all good, but he’s sure his clearance was a joke and switching his specialty path to trauma? well, that was somehow even funnier. hands curl in to tight fists at his sides as he sees the patient. female. early twenties. hit and run victim. it doesn’t really send chills down his spine until he actually hears the cause of her being in the er. all hands on deck was what the residents were told, but he hadn’t been as prepared for that as originally planned. ‘ bolton, call up to━ bolton━ !! ‘ hunt tries to get his attention but he’s lost. the woman tries to say something and her words are the only thing that floods his ears. all else is like a ringing sensation, a hum to the void in his mind. ‘ i can’t━ i can’t feel my legs. ‘ head snaps up towards the patient, a look of terror on his face. tears fog his vision as his eyes lock with hers and it hits him like a ton of bricks. ‘ i can’t believe you, sharpay ! actually, no━ what’s worse is i can. find your own way home, i’m done. i’m honestly just done. ‘ it’s not like it was his own fault it happened, it wasn’t. he was paying attention in all the right places. he just hadn’t expected a speeding car to come out of basically nowhere in the parking lot. it’s all too fast for him. it’s not until he hears the sound of sharpay’s voice repeatedly screaming his name that he’s alert over what happened. ‘ i can’t━ i can’t f-feel my legs. ‘ ‘ ━━━━━ bolton !! ‘ he had a team━ a family━ who had his back. who did everything they could to make sure he got his life back in every way possible. she had that very same team. he just wasn’t sure he could be a part of it. ‘ i can’t━ i’m sorry, i can’t. ‘
