Pots can be pretty expensive depending on how many plants you’re planning on growing. So, I figure I should let people know about fabric pots.
There are only a couple downsides being that:
you have to get a covering for them to sit on in case you don’t want water damage
they don’t look all that pretty
that’s it
The good things:
doesn’t confine the roots for your plants and keep them cramped
makes it easier for growers to figure out when their plant needs watering and to avoid overwatering (just touch the lower bottom of your pot and feel for dampness)
has handles for easy transport and is very light, even when you put in your soil
is often very inexpensive, and you often can get multiple fabric pots for a decent price (could get around 20 maybe for a little over 12 dollars)
is sturdy enough that you can leave the pot outdoors in the rain and it won’t decompose or fall apart
makes it easy for transferring to bigger actual pots whenever you’re ready, just place your fabric pot in the main pot and cut around it
