Blindsided [Closed with Connie-Springerling]
This had to be the worst thing Juliane had ever agreed to.
A sigh escaped the brunette's lips as she glanced around on the bright spring day. Sure, it was nice and a good excuse to get her out of the house, but she couldn't believe the other girls at her school would put her up to something like this. She hardly even knew half of them and yet they adopted her as their new friend clear out of the blue.
She felt bad for whoever else was forced into this ordeal. Juliane just hoped they didn't recognize her. Apparently it's hard to take in that someone who wrestles for a sport and often looks like they never cared about their overall appearance could be so...presentable outside of school.
Her fingers drummed against the table quietly as she sat at a picnic table near a 50s styled ice cream shop across from a park. The old, peeling paint clung to the underside of her long fingernails, causing her to immediately cease that habit of hers. She quickly rested her hands on her lap instead, tracing the lines on her jeans.
Juliane wasn't dressed like a runway model in the least, just presentable enough that she didn't look like a normal ratty teenager, or one that was wearing too much jewelry or makeup. Donned in her normal freckles and olive eyes, Juliane was just an average girl, and she was glad. Her hair was actually down for the first time in months...
Attention being drawn across the way, she noticed a few different cars approaching, or people walking by. Could one of these be her mystery date? As they each gave her a simple glance and passed her by, she concluded that it was, in fact, none of these people. What if this was just some set up, after all?
