Brian Eno in Conny Plank's studio, Wolperath, Germany, 1978
Organisation It was the year 1968 when Florian Schneider-Esleben and Ralf Hütter initially met at the art school in Remscheid. Soon they noticed their mutual passion for improvised avantgarde music, which then led on to the formation of ORGANISATION. They started with diverse free-styled happenings at universities and galleries including experimental sounds as well as percussions. Later on famous German producer Conny Plank helped them to record their debut 'Tone Float' together with Basil Hammoudi, Butch Hauf and Alfred Mönicks. Historically seen this album figures among the first genre defining exemplars released in the krautrock genre, next to recordings from Can, Amon Düül, Tangerine Dream. It is dominated by long, free improvisations, mixing organs, electronic experimentations with acoustic percussions. During the year 1970 though Hütter and Schneider dissolved the band to form KRAFTWERK next.
