Wacky Packages stickers - Topps (1979 reissue)
Wow, I hadn't heard of these!
"Known affectionately among collectors as Wacky Packs, the Topps stickers that parodied well-known consumer brands were a phenomenon in the 1970s―even outselling the Topps Company’s baseball cards for a while. But few know that the genius behind it all was none other than Art Spiegelman―the Pulitzer Prize–winning graphic novelist who created Maus." -this book

The ART of AMY CASEY
Amy Casey shows us firsthand, through her infinitely detailed paintings of manmade structures, either clashing or peacefully coexisting with natural environments. In these pieces we might find repetitions of fungi, leaves, and moss burgeoning from trees, and hordes of impossibly assembled buildings.
Amy Casey has exhibited her work regionally and nationally with solo shows in Cleveland, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Provincetown and Los Angeles. Ms. Casey has been awarded two Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards, the Cleveland Arts Prize as an emerging artist and a grant through CPAC's Creative Workforce Fellowship program. Ms Casey is one of the resident artists at Zygote Press in Cleveland and is represented by Zg Gallery in Chicago, and Michael Foley in New York City. Currently residing in a little crooked blue house in Cleveland, Ms Casey spends most of her time painting, printmaking and squeezing cats.
art by Amy Casey, paintings and etchings. Precarious times and urban landscapes, now with a splash of nature run amuck.

Honest Trailers | A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
Steven Spielberg’s got a new original sci-fi movie coming out with Disclosure Day, so we took a look back at his films and one popped out that seemed eerily relevant to our times: The Terminal!
But then we realized there was a gas leak in my house, and once that got fixed an Honest Trailer for A.I. Artificial Intelligence seemed like a better choice.

Trailers From Hell: Patton Oswalt on DEAD BANG
Late-period John Frankenheimer is better than no Frankenheimer at all and this rather standard thriller is elevated not only by the director’s still formidable chops but the production design of Ken Adam on vacation from the Bond films.
Don Johnson plays an LA homicide detective trailing a murderer with a white supremacist agenda. Penelope Ann Miller and Bob Balaban co-star, and Jerry Beck, the real-life cop who inspired Johnson's character, makes a cameo.
