* son of emperor Frederick II and Isabella of Jerusalem
* Was born in Sicily and spent first 12 years of his life there.
* just like his father Conrad had a plenty of trouble with Pope. The latter had for example him deposed as a king of Germany and consequently Conrad had to fight against a couple of anti-kings. Pope also excommunicated Connrad in 1254. The king succumbed to malaria a few months later while on a campaign in Italy.
* He had one son, Conradin who inherited his lands in Italy and Germany
