Day 4 - Porthleven to The Lizard
Some beautiful Highland cattle have been released on this Nature reserve. They help to keep the vegetation low and prevent natural succession.
This is know as conservation grazing and is a popular technique to control vegetation in a less invasive way; protecting rare and valuable wildlife habitats like this lovely lowland heath!

Good fun t'other day at Beecraigs, herding our highlands & belties off Balvormie meadow. They've spent 8 weeks grazing it to try and help the meadow recover from encroaching rank vegetation and scrub.
