A cobra on our farm. We knew he was somewhere, but didnt know he was so big. The responses from our staff highlight their concerns. We dont kill snakes, particularly cobras because of the social and religious reasons associated with them. But it is hard to share space with them too. Here our use harsh language to ask the cobra to go away. Sometimes we need to correct old agricultural mistakes. Here the Export Agriculture Department Extension officer for the Kotmale Valley, Mr Eranda Bandara (@eranda.bandara.378) conducting a training. What he is explaining is how no one solution fits all. An ideal pepper plant should have side branches from about 1.5 feet above the ground. This can be achieved by pruning the apical shoot when the pepper climber when it first reaches 1.5 feet. We hadnt done it for ours, so we now need to correct that plant by plant, for all 3500 plants.
