Elodie Yung to star in French TV series Le Charles
M6 and Prime Video today announced the start of filming in France of the series Le Charles The series will consist of 6 episodes of 52 minutes each and will be released in 2026.
Plot
The aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle has just embarked on a strategic voyage to the Eastern Mediterranean, where the situation is extremely unstable. But shortly after departure, one of the female crew members was found dead, and the other was reported missing. Despite the danger, the operation continues, and a military investigator is urgently sent on board. The ship is transformed into an enclosed space where 2,000 crew members must face an internal threat, while the mission unfolds against a backdrop of high international tensions. The press release notes that the series is being produced in partnership with the French Navy, which demonstrates its expertise in air and naval operations.
Mission Cinema and Creative Industries (MCIC) oversees the filming, ensuring immersive filming without compromising operational activities.
This project is the first joint acquisition of Prime Video and the M6 group.
The series will also star Patrick Millet, Alban Lenoir, Jacques Gamblin, Constance Labbe, Antoine Gui.
