I’m Tina Badu Charles Also Known As The Godmother Of Braamfontein. 27 and originally from the Eastern Cape, like many I moved up to the City Of Gold ,at the tender age of 18, to make all my dreams come true. I am a writer, an editorial researcher, a stylist, a personal shopper and mostly importantly a boundary-pushing visionary, who is driven by her loves and her passions.  Though Johannesburg has afforded me with many opportunities as a young black woman, I feel that there is still such a long way for us to go. We need more. We want more and I am here to fight for all that and more. More safety, more equal opportunities, more protection and justice against abuse, more protection against sexual harassment in the workplace and the streets, more open conversations about our sexuality and the rights over our bodies. This Women’s Month I would like to urge women to stand together and continue to fight for everything we believe in, everything thing that makes us the beautiful warriors that we are.
