Construction Update
The electrician came out on the 10th to give us the estimate.
Because of where he will have to put the sub panel, it will be less expensive in the long run to wire both the loft and quarantine building at once.
That's estimated at $1,000 in materials alone.
Two men, doing 8 hours worth of work, is estimated at $1,080.
That brings the total estimate to $2,080.
It could be less than that, if they can finish the job faster, but I appreciate the worst case scenario for planning purposes.
Between the support of our Patrons, the Gofundme, and a tip through Cashapp, we have managed to raise a total of $909.42, so far.
The present plan is to work on the tear down every evening that I am able, for as long as I physically can.
Once the former loft building is stripped, the debris has been removed, and the 18in. deep trenches for the wiring are finished, we will schedule the electrician to come out, wire them, and install the new outlets.
The teardown of the former loft that will become the new quarantine building began on Sunday Night.
I had to pause because I lost my footing, stepped on a nail, and had to go get a Tetanus shit on Monday, but work resumed last night.
I was not expecting to have to work on both buildings at once, but it will be less expensive for the electrician to wire the new quarantine building first, because it's closer to where the sub-panel will need to go.
So far, I have gotten down all the trim around the ceiling and floors, around the window, and the door, and I've gotten a panel of the FRP down.
There will be absolutely no salvaging the FRP... That stuff is fiberglass on the inside and breaks at the drop of a hat, as you can see in that last photo.
