"I have a bad feeling about this."

Siri nodded, hand drifting instinctually to the hilt of her lightsaber. Nothing looked amiss, but there was an uneasiness in the Force; Siri sensed it, too. “ Make that two of us, ” she murmured to Saufa. “ And here I thought we’d been given a boring routine mission. ”
6. things you said under the stars and in the grass ((Boba & Anna))
send me a ship and one of these and i’ll write a mini fic // @consularisms & @asycuwish
❝When I was a little girl and I couldn’t fall asleep on my own, my mother would lay down beside me and she would tell me stories. There was this one that she told me and for the longest time I had forgotten about it until now. It was about this young girl who had wished upon every star that she could count that she would find true love. I think it’s what every hopeful girl wished for. The prospect of meeting a prince charming that would come and sweep her off her feet and show her passion and escape from whatever loveless life she was living. Because that’s what true happiness is - love.❞
❝Anyways, for years the girl continued to wish that she would find a man who would fall in love with her until one day she was told by her sister that wishing would never help her to find someone if she did not even exist in his eyes, but in the presence of the stars she wished under. The girl was so devastated that she stopped wishing, feeling that all hope had been broken. One day she ran away, feeling heartbroken over a man she had never even met yet, and had gotten lost in the woods. Stories are like that, aren’t they? Silly. Where girls run away because they can’t even be in love. But she did, and she was so scared and alone that she ended up falling to her knees in the grass, sobbing into her hands. She thought, what is this point? Why had she run away? What was she running from?❞
❝That’s what she heard a voice asking her if she was okay, and she had looked up to find this handsome man standing in front of her with bright blue eyes and a smile that had her wanting to melt to the ground, if she wasn’t already on her knees. She assured him she was fine. He went on to ask if she was lost and when she answered yes, she had gotten lost on the way home, he told her that’s not what he meant. The man had taken one look in her eyes and had found that she herself was so lost that she didn’t know what to do with herself. That she was sad but it wasn’t a sadness that she couldn’t fix. He wanted to know her sadness, he wanted to heal it. And so he did. I can’t recall the rest of the story completely as this is usually the part I fell asleep on, but I do remember that they both fell for each other right then and there. That he ended up becoming her prince charming and they lived happily ever after.❞
Anna knew that Boba was probably looking at her wondering why she had gone on and on about some pointless bedtime story that her mother had told her a long time ago just to get her to fall asleep. They seemed just like all kinds of ones that were told to children and it didn’t matter now. But one look in her brown eyes staring up at the stars in the dark sky told him otherwise. There was something about that story that meant more to her than she was letting on, if she hadn’t finished it yet.❝And?❞ He asked in his dark voice, turning his head a bit more to the side to gaze at her as she looked so peaceful and at home here, body surrounded by cool grass and the reflection of stars traveled around glistening in her eyes.
❝I never understood it,❞ Anna told him, turning her own head to look at him, blonde hair fanned out around her.❝I never did believe in true love when my mother told me that story. I thought that there could be so many people in your life that you knew that how could you possibly love just one person? And especially someone as perfect as a prince charming.❞
Boba’s brows knitted together and he asked,❝You don’t believe in true love?❞
❝I didn’t then.❞ There was this smile that formed on her lips, and suddenly the smuggler was flipping over on her stomach and propping herself up with her elbows so that she could look down at her lover. Anna was positive that he was her own true love, because God did she love this man. She loved him more than she thought she could a person, more than her greatest passion which was smuggling and flying among the stars she called home. More than her love for droids and Tatooine. Sometimes more than herself, she thought.
She reached out with her hand to run her fingers through his dark hair lovingly, admiring the way that he was looking at her because know she was the one to wish upon a star that he would continue to look at her like this for the rest of her life.❝See,❞ she continued,❝I never believed there would ever be a prince charming. Someone who was handsome and charming and courageous and…perfect. Because I don’t like the meaning of perfect. I like imperfections because I think that is what truly makes a person. Someone who has been through hell and has scars and stories to prove it. Someone who needs me like I need them even if we both can’t bring ourselves to admit that sometimes. I think the person that I love is someone who I know I will never be able to truly fix but that doesn’t want I won’t try because there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for that person.❞
And that was Boba.
Underneath the stars that twinkled above them, Anna leaned forwards and pressed her soft lips against his own, letting him know that even though she didn’t believe in prince charming and perfect men, that everything she needed and wanted was right here. Boba had her heart, and if he didn’t know it already, then he would know it tonight.
3. things you said too quietly ((Saufa and Anna? Platonically! c: ))

❝I don’t want to lose you.❞
Hearing those words come out of her own mouth felt so unlike her to actually say that she was surprised she had admitted them at all. When you looked at Anna, you might have seen these petite blonde who thought she could take on the world, and with her smart mouth and somewhat blunt attitude, you really didn’t think that she would be the one to spill her feelings and leave you to pick them up and try to piece her back together again. You probably didn’t think that after making deals with raunchy characters in cantinas that she would sit down with you and talk about what made her feel bent and broken. Maybe after blasting some storm troopers in an attempt to escape (as she and Saufa had done at a time before) that she would start getting emotional when she barely showed any remorse before.
But perhaps the girl who was all witty and calm on the outside had a storm brewing on the inside, and you never knew what was going to tip her over. Anna had closed herself off a long time ago for a reason, and she had lied to herself into believing it was because she didn’t want to get too close to people because in the end what did it really matter? She was just some expendable smuggler. She’d been threatened, nearly killed, and she was abandoned by a father figure who meant the world to her. What did Anna really have left to lose?
It hit her though, harder than she had ever expected because she had never met a person like Saufa before. For a while it was literally touch and go because for some reason the man always found himself in trouble and Anna was right there to carry him out of the wreckage and take care of him. All the while he was taking care of her, too. He didn’t know it. Probably thought she was just someone who was there for him. Truth be told that his friendship was healing her. She didn’t shut herself off, didn’t push him away like she tried to do with so many people. Anna enjoyed his company, enjoyed socializing, and just talking. About anything. She hadn’t had a real friendship like that since she was a young girl living at home on the farm fixing up droids.
When Saufa had turned around to face her, his hand still clamped over his shoulder and his fingers massaging at the tender muscle from having injured it a few short hours ago, Anna knew that she needed to explain what she meant by her sudden admission. She could tell by the look on his face that he didn’t understand.
❝I don’t have many friends. Any friends actually,❞ the smuggler admitted with a sad laugh, averting eye contact as if she was shamed by this fact.❝Most of the people I do talk to are just bosses, people hiring me for jobs, or idiots at the cantina that I put up with just so I can enjoy a drink before I have to work again the next day. I never thought that I needed a friend but…❞ Honey brown eyes with glistening specks of maple finally gazed back up at the other, looking to find some solace.❝I do. It took me some time to realize that, but I do.❞
Saufa slowly made his way over to the couch that his petite friend was sitting on, looking stiff as a board as if any words he could aim at her would shatter her to pieces if said wrong. He inhaled deeply through his nose and for a moment he just stared at her, wondering how to respond to her confession. After finally sitting down beside her, his hand falling away from his injured shoulder and coming around to wrap his arm around her back, he smiled at her.
❝So stop getting hurt all of the damn time because I’m going to be really upset with you if you end up dying on me, Saufa.❞ Anna tried to joke a bit, finding her eyes all glossy from her emotional confession and elbowing him playfully in the side. Hopefully he hadn’t contracted a bruise or something there. But she looked up anyways, seeing the lighthearted smile on his face which caused her own lips to pull into a grin that she could just not resist.
