psh you’re doing just great! honestly i started rping like… i dont even remember but at least 8/9 years ago and i still feel hella self-conscious about my writing and approaching people. don’t feel anxious about having no roleplaying experience!! truly c:

I mean, it’s not as if I have no experience to speak of. It’s just not even remotely comparable to yours for instance. In the beginning there was simply no need for me to care about character development or the quality of my writing. Because my incentive wasn’t to dash out well written prose. I primarily wanted to apply whatever grammar rules I’d only recently learned through writing, as there is little practical use for English in my daily life. I’m the autodidactic sort, you see. Naturally, my approach towards roleplaying changed over time and now I’m stuck in research and character development hell.
Even so, the last time I roleplayed on tumblr was when we had to write our replies in boxes and our tags could be found on the side if I remember correctly. So, technically, I’m not lying when I say that I have close to zero experience. I mean, I used to be in forum roleplays and the like but that was in my first language and as such doesn’t really count. Technically, anyway.
