Who wants to see more content ? 👅❤️
I’m not sure why this is such a dividing opinion to have, because honestly it’s just being an adult about the way you look at things in life, but here’s todays hot take;
If you don’t like the direction a show or band or franchise takes after a certain point in its lifetime, it’s perfectly okay to stop interacting with that particular piece of media or entertainment.
There’s absolutely no need to shit on the creators or musicians or writers etc of the piece of media just because you personally don’t like the new style of the creation.
Yes it might suck for you that your favourite band’s new music has changed tone drastically, or that your favourite character left the show after 19 years at the front and centre, but that doesn’t mean the new stuff is objectively bad, just that you personally don’t like it! And that’s okay! Just move on, find a new band who’s music is to your tastes, or a new tv show that grabs your attention better or re-listen/re-watch the old stuff and vibe with them instead! Life is far too short and far too full of shit already to spend your time engaging in an optional recreational activity that you don’t enjoy.
(Btw just want to add here; constructive criticism can be helpful to a certain degree, but honestly at the end of the day, if the band or show aren’t looking for tips, you’re better off just walking away. And also ‘this show is shit now, bring back the old cast’ or ‘I hate the new music, *artist* shouldn’t have made it’ is NOT constructive criticism!)
And please for the love of all things earthbound; stop shitting on people who are fans of the new content! People are allowed to like things that you don’t. And it’s incredibly disheartening to see people repeatedly saying ‘This album is so shit, *artist* should’ve called it quits years ago’ etc, when you yourself love the new songs. And I don’t think it’s all that unreasonable of me to think that fans searching for cool edits or tour photos shouldn’t have to wade through a bunch of hate towards the creators they enjoy as the content they want is buried deep in discourse of why the media they enjoy is ‘ShitTM’ or how ‘anyone who likes this stuff is just pathetic’.
To summarise; TLDR;
Disengage from content you don’t enjoy.
Don’t spam the tags of the content (meant as a way for people to find things that make them happy) with shit takes and hatred.
Let people like what they like and move on with your life! Find something you do enjoy and throw yourself into having fun with that!
To everyone willing to try and spread positivity; have a wonderful day.
To everyone wanting to continue spreading hatred and malicious comments against things they don’t personally enjoy but aren’t objectively ‘bad’; have a very fuck you.
Being content, doesn't mean that I'll stop improving myself
