Though Matt wasn't really the type for taking part in contests himself. He did have a habit of going and watching them whenever he decided to take a visit back home, usually with his little sisters, it had always been a bit of a bonding thing between them ever since he was younger. It kind of made him sad that he wasn't able to drop by as much as he would like to now a days but hey, he had his job in Team Aqua to do after all.

Today he had originally just planned on visiting Slateport for a while, drop by and say high to his family, but his little sister Maria seemed to have other plans. The little thirteen year old had drug him straight to the contest hall almost without warning with little explanation as to why she was doing it aside from he owed her a favor.  When they reached there Matt was surprised to see such a big crowd outside the contest hall, usually it was busy yes, but never this busy. Thankfully, Matt's height gave him the advantage in the situation and he was able to see that all the attention was on a young lady in a cute outfit. He thought he recognized her but he wasn't able to think of a name. He watched as she talked with a few people for a minute before he felt his little sibling tug on his pants leg.  "C-Can you get her autograph for me....I'm too shy to ask her myself..." Ah so this what it was about. He looked down his sis to see her holding up a little booklet and a pen. Matt grinned and patted her on the head before taking it.  "Sure thing little sis you just wait right here~" And with that Matt made his way through the crowd pretty easily, again, another good thing about being someone as big as he was. Keeping his grin on his face he waited until the girl wasn't talking to someone before he spoke up himself.

"Excuse me little miss you mind me asking you for a little favor real quick, promise it won't take up much of your time."

 What does ‘love’ mean to them?

((To Matt love is the ultimate type of dedication to another person. It is caring about that person with every ounce of your soul and then some, it is the willingness to go the extra mile just to see them smile or here them laugh. To Matt love is everything, but it is also something he tends to be a bit afraid of now a days. He's already lost one person he was in love with as well as several people who were close to him in his heart and he doesn't want that to happen again. That's why love to him can also means protecting someone you care about until your last breath.))
