Morality had long ago vacated heart and soul, leaving something bruised and battered in its place. Of course Khan had his own code, his own set of misguided principles and ethics. Sparing a thought for fallen enemies– obstacles– simply had not qualified. Not now, likely not ever. The only reason he hadn’t already moved on to the next, present company be damned, was due to the disagreeable nature of a host’s decomposing body. Kill the shell, kill the heart. Another risen, controlled by a slithering mess of basic instinct, would only serve to sour an already unpleasant day.
A pointed glance to the other before bothering to speak– to spit venom, likely, though it was not directed at them.
“Burn the body and let us leave here.”
