she always seemed to beat him to the punch, and this instant the punch was kissing her. it’d felt like ages since he’d gotten to hold her in his arms. squeezing her tight, part of him thinking that if he let go they both might vanish from each other. before he could even get a word he felt a soft pair of lips collide his, the arms around her squeezed slightly. humming softly while he closed his eyes, he didn’t even notice that he had picked her up. spinning them both around while he relished in how soft and familiar she felt.
