Watching that Loki S2 trailer and...

...something-something shadow weapons.

Which reminds me, as it's sort of related. I don't know if I've mentioned this on here before, but has anyone on here ever played 'Contrast'?

It also plays on shadows in a similar way. Both in terms of gameplay (with the main character 'Dawn' able to turn into a shadow and platform on other shadows) and in terms of story, where nearly everyone in the game is invisible except for their shadows, other than Dawn and a young girl named Didi. It's turned on its head though, as the NPCs all interact as if in the real world, while Dawn is the one invisible to everyone except Didi.

The world of the game is vaguely set in the 1920s, with magic shows and cabaret playing a big role. There's clearly something up though, which never really gets explained as far as I remember, as the world limits of the game are literally presented as the world disolving into the void.

I don't know, but between this, the anachronistic periodic setting, the shadow-play etc. I remember finding it very 'Eleven-Day-Empire-y' even as I first played.

Then, already thinking that, of course I blindly stumbled onto this easter egg which just solidified the connection in my head...
