Denis Lamoureux is a significant contributor to the longstanding debate over evolution in evangelical circles. As the holder of three doctoral degrees (dentistry, theology, and biology) he is especially well qualified to speak to it. Over the last 20 years, as he has wrestled with the origins issue, he has held to just about every position on the spectrum, from atheistic Darwinism (before his conversion) to young-earth creationism (after his conversion) to progressive old-earth creationism to his current position of "evolutionary creationism".
Out playwright and comic book artist Dave Ebersole debuts his latest work, Redemption: a romantic comedy? , this week as part of Centre Theater's Independent Voices Festival. a lineup of shows by playwrights in and around Philadelphia. Ebersole explains Redemption as "a gay rom-com set against a premise that's pretty dark. It has a lot of twists and turns to it but both characters are into each other, despite the predicament they're in." It stars Richard Bradford, Joseph Cartagena Jr, and T.J. Deluca. The first edition with the William Keith Introduction - of The Grimoire of Armadel, one of the most infamous of the magical 'how to' books or grimoires. The book is supposedly derived from the mediaeval black magic text known as the Grimorium Verum, but more likely a seventeenth century work (or at least a seventeenth century reworking of an earlier text).
