I find it weird how people who WILLINGLY enter fandom spaces gets mad when fandok actually fandom. Like, okay, you're allowed to not like a ship (eg, Polytrix) but you can't HATE ON PEOPLE for liking the ship. Because you're entering fandom spaces, you're in a community where people are going to ship stuff you don't like😭
Like, I dislike ShadowVanilla, but I'm not going to go out of my way to hate on people who do: if I see a post, I'm going to just block the tag and scroll. It's not that hard to SCROLL, people. Same with fanficition; like, it's an archive, it's gonna have weird shit on it (TMA reference... lmao). Like, this one time, I saw a ship I didn't particularly sound ethical. What did I do? I showed my friends, laughed about it for a minute and scrolled. Because THATS WHAT YOU DO.
Other tangent: Children in adult spaces on the internet. To hopefully not sound like a hypocrite while writing this, I'm going to preface this and say that yes, I am a minor in adult spaces, I know that. I have unrestricted internet access, and I know that (tbh if I didn't I probably would be a homophobic/transphobic Christian rn trying to deny I feel like a boy). HOWEVER... like when you enter fandom spaces, you need to understand that these spaces are not always going to have things catered to YOU. Minors in adult spaces are not going to have much for them, and people need to understand that, because if you're going to willingly walk into these communities and spaces online and COMPLAIN that they're not catered to you... it's like a straight guy walking into a gay bar. OF COURSE IT'S NOT GOING TO BE MADE FOR YOU - YOU'RE NOT THE TARGET AUDIENCE.
Anyways, had to rant. Bye bye !!
