Lover of my dreams

Studying forensic science was exhilarating and she loved every second of college. However for the last couple of months, her grades had started to slip, seeing as how she had a hard time focusing. Patty had hardly gotten any sleep for months.
For as long as she could remember, she dreamed of this mystery man and the feelings he stirred were bigger than anything she could even imagine in a waking state. Her subconscious knew him though and welcomed his arrival in her world of dreams happily. It was weird, but nothing she paid much mind to, to be honest. It had just been dreams, nothing more.
At least, it was until she started having the dreams of him every single night. Now, she startled awake every time, aching for someone she didn’t even know. Someone who most likely didn’t even exist. It was insane.
Or at least, that’s what she thought, until she was studying at the local Starbucks and nearly dropped her book. At the other side stood someone as FAMILIAR as her own reflection, even if she never saw him in person. Everything about him, the way he walked, talked, even ran his hand through his hair was exactly the same as her dreams. There was simply no denying it.
It was HIM, and he was placing his order to the barista, as casual and normal as everyone else that came in here. Only he wasn’t normal, was he? Not to Patty anyway.
