Vincent hated karaoke but unfortunately, his friends forced him to join them at a place that they liked to frequent. “You just returned to Korea. You never spend time with us!” were their words of protest when he tried to finagle his way out of going. It worked. He felt guilty. But now they were obnoxiously loud and drunk and he was very sober. After picking up a few bottles and realizing that they were empty, he looked around to get the attention of one of the workers.
“Excuse me!” Vincent waved down a young woman and when she turned around, he looked at her in surprise, “Rosalee, is that you? It’s been too long! How are you?”
