Hi! Storyteller Saturday! Do you have any characters who get along the best out of all your characters, and if so why? :)

*grins* I have a lot of characters that get along great, many of them forming found families. I think today I'll talk about the relationship between Sparks and Aither from @converginglives [swear I am working my way back to working on this blog again!]

When they first met, both lived on the streets, though for very different reasons. Sparks had bolted from his family, choosing to not go into the crime life of the Balakhnov Bratva. Aither had lost her family, as they had died and she was put into a foster family that wasn't that good, so one day she just left.

They met during an underground fight ring. He used them as a way to earn money to survive, she used them as a way to work off her aggression and frustration since she made money via her computer.

Like many before him, nearly seven foot tall Sparks underestimated her. Who expects a girl who wasn't even five foot at that point to be able to take on people so much taller and often two to three times her weight?

As such, he lost the fight, and badly at that.

After, when he was considering where to get his broken fingers set, she approached him and offered to introduce him to someone who'd do the work without reporting him. He refused to give her a name when she asked, though otherwise talked to her. Well, mostly talked to her, at the time he was embarrassed over his heavy accent and the fact he lost.

So she decide he had spark to him, and started calling him Sparks. Years later, that is what most know him as.

That was the start of their friendship.

Aither isn't the sort to feel strong emotional attachments to people, those she does, she is fiercely protective of [and possessive]. As they got to know each other, she decided he's hers, and anyone who seeks to harm him would pay.

Sparks, meanwhile, is extremely loyal to those who earn his trust. Between offering him help, even though she had just thoroughly kicked his ass, and then somewhere to stay that he wouldn't have to worry about, that began his respect for her. Watching how she handled herself and others, particularly the forming of what would be her half of the Network, cemented that loyalty.

If you were a RPer and a Writer, would you add your RP characters into your original stories? Would they get along with the original story characters?

*grins* it's funny you should ask that! Aither di Straiti was originally one of my D&D characters. I no longer play that particular game, and she has moved into the CLV. I didn't expect her and Jon to hit it off the way they did.

On the other hand, I was not shocked that her and Isaac have issues. Or most anyone else for that matter. Aither's morally gray, and often those shades are dark.

She doesn't play by most rules of society, having her own code and system, that often puts her at odds with a lot of people. Amusingly, it is also that which earns her the loyalty of the minions. For as dark as she can be, she's good to those who work for her and their families.

aaah!! isaak and chickens!!! I need to know everything about them!! why does he like them?? are there chicken shenanigans?? DOES HE HAVE PET CHICKENS??

If asked why, he’d be hard pressed to tell you about how that love developed. It just sort of happened, about the time he decided he wanted a farm. Of course his sister-cousins were against it, and his Uncle Akaal gently declined as they live in they middle of the city, in a massive factory turned apartment complex. 

However, arrangements are made within the Network for him to visit farms and learn about them. That encourages his love of them, plus lets him get first hand experience. 

As a teenager he wants to go to the moon, it’s a driving passion. More than that, he wants to live and farm on the moon. His Uncle Isha and Aunt Aither team up with a few friends and makes it happen.  

The first chicken hatched on the moon is Emmetta, and there are all sorts of shenanigans going on with her, as she becomes his constant pet and companion.

Happy STS! I can’t recall if you’re partake but I thought I would be appropriate. Lol. Tell me a bit more about Jon’s parental triad, what was t like living with that sort of parental dynamic? What is Jon’s favourite memory of the four of them together?

*beams* I totally do STS! I simply stopped posting about it last year due to a combination of bad health and rare responses. Thank you greatly for the ask!

Jon’s parental triad - Amy, Rory, and John. 

Amy - mum - sass and snark, intelligent, encouraging, determined, learns from the past, hopeful; short, solidly built, dark auburn hair with black and brown highlights, light skin.

Rory - pops - easy going, compassionate, worrier, hopeful, street smart, quiet with strangers and doesn’t shut up with those he knows; tall, heavy set, light blonde hair, dark brown eyes, sun golden skin. 

John - da - creatively intelligent and street smart, personal code, easy smile, hides his emotions behind masks, fiercely loyal, non-deadly until no other choice; average height, raven black hair, gray eyes, lithe build, porcelain skin.

Jon loved his time with his parents. They might have frustrated him at times but at the end of the day, they were awesome. His education wasn’t traditional in any means, as his da was always traveling and took the family with him, so he was home schooled across the globe. 

His mum made sure he knew how to study and book learn, adapting to situations what the information he knows, and his pops encouraged that by teaching him how to adapt to when he doesn’t know. Probably good, considering his da would often take him on Walks, and those could be downright dangerous, at least as far as an outsider cared. 

One of the things all three of his parents made it a point to teach him and encourage was how to read a situation. They made sure he could protect himself, as a rule anyways, to the best of his ability. 

Any and all interests were encouraged and rejoiced over, which is how he ended up with such a varied amount of skills. The more questionable interests were encouraged but with caution and making sure that he wasn’t doing them for unsafe reasons. It’s probably good he never took up truly dark ones, as that might have tested their encouragement. Might being the key word, as his parental triad was morally gray. 

His favorite memory with his parental triad is hard to pick out. There’s so many he loves and enjoys. Most of them are little moments like working in the play room with his da while his mum and pops gave encouragement. He totally was ignoring all the flinching going on in the process. Or that time his mum decided they all needed a lesson in how to make proper coffee cake.

Happy STS! Where do your ocs keep things that are important to them? --sapphic-story

Sitara Misra - it all depends on what the item is. A lot of her important items are kept within the shrine room, to be protected by Kali Ma, though not all, as some should be made, to show honor to them memories they are tied to and why they are important. 

Iov Lvovich Asmik - he tries not to have physical things that are important to him, as he has lost so much in his life, he’s aware memories can sometimes be the only thing he can hold on to. Despite that, he also writes things down in journals, recording as much as he can into them. 

Reggie Brown - he has his important stuff all over his home, shelves full of things that have special meaning. His most important things are kept in places of honor such as the center shelf of his bookcase where he has his son’s urn, surrounded by pictures of him and little mementos; or the vase full of cutlery that was his mom’s on the counter just far enough from the stove not to get splattered but close enough to be used.

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What (or who) would your characters do absolutely anything for? Why?

I’ve got so many character’s it’s hard to pick! I asked my sweetheart for help & here’s the choices: Luc, Valentin, and Daria

Luc - before the Avtovo Gas Power Plant explosion would have burned the world for his soulmate Isaac. Actually, he was working on destroying those he thought had killed Isaac, when he discovered he was betrayed, during another betrayal that led to him meeting Jon following the SteelTruth Events. 

With Isaac, he would have done or given anything because they were soulmates. They belonged to each other. That’s what soulmates do. He’s soulmates with Jon as well, but that’s not actually his guiding force with Jon. 

Instead he’d do anything for Jon because Vansha would do anything for him. Even let him go if that would make him happy, despite the fact they are soulmates. He’s actively chosen, and that earns his loyalty, unwavering and dangerous to those who are enemies. 

Valentin - he doesn’t have a person he’d do anything for, not any more, the closest he gets to that is his kids (all four, though Jon’s a new addition despite being the eldest). 

Instead, he would do anything for his ideal: protect children at all costs. He doesn’t care if the child is his, if he knows the child, who the child’s parents are. He knows there are some things they cannot be totally protected from, but that doesn’t mean not to protect them whenever possible. 

Daria - she would do anything within her power for those she cares for. Sometimes that’s a lot, sometimes it’s not much over all. Either way, she does whatever she can for them. 

A lot of times, the best she can do is find out information or direct those she cares for to the information so they may work with it. That’s an important bit of personality and ability to have.

Oh, I love characters like that who have their areas of just unwinding and enjoyment. 

Luc is often seen as cold and unfeeling by those who belong to the Marko Syndicate/Company, that is until they see him with his soulmate, then they are shocked to see otherwise!

-Which of your characters would be most likely to keep a jar of peanut butter next to their work space, either because they just like peanut butter or for the protein, so that they could eat spoonfuls whenever they wanted to? Please!

Definitely Jon, Aither, and Quin.

Jon and Quin forget to eat a lot, so they keep it around for the times they actually remember. It's healthy and useful, that's a bonus. Both stick to creamy.

Aither meanwhile loves the taste and enjoys eating it cause she can. Depending on her mood is what type she will eat.
