The brisk air of winter kept the wolf alert as he stood in the unfamiliar lands, his eyes fixated on the mountains in the far off distance. It was very seldom that he ventured out this way, let alone into these lands. He tended to avoid them for a multitude of reasons. The most common one, he wasn’t welcomed here. Ever. There was always dirty looks when the brethren of the lands visited their tribe, murmurs of his behavior, his past, and associations. It was just better for him to avoid it all together.
To his dismay he found himself brought here, not entirely sure as to what the reason but he knew he had to be there today. The others were surprised to hear of him leaving, but meh. It wasn’t the first time. Perhaps the destination was the more surprising part for them. Either way he was not content with his decision to actually go.
Letting out a sigh he reluctantly stepped down from the ledge and made his way into their domain. If he was lucky he wouldn’t run into too many people going in the back way. Then again, he didn’t have the best of times with his luck. Never the less it was worth the effort if it meant him avoiding the majority of the clan and his sad excuse for a sibling. To think there was kin of his own that he could say he didn’t wish to associate with. How pathetic. Something struck the wolf as odd when they had met prior, Ren didn’t trust him and quite frankly if he had been secret for so long he had no reason to trust him now.
