Going to the grocery store in New York was a very different experience than going in Asteria, mainly because in the city the woman was constantly in a rush whereas here she would take her time. Wandering along the aisles browsing the various types of pasta they had on the shelves before picking out the same one she always ate anyway. It was the perfect combination of predictable and flexible, and Julia loved it. Never too busy to pick something up for a friend or family member if they couldn’t get to the store, because it meant she would get some more time to wander as she got lost in her own thoughts. Heading over to the fresh fruit aisle on the whim of wanting some cherries the brunette saw the back of a head she could have picked out from a crowed of fifty people if she’d had to, but she didn’t. This was a small town, running into people should hardly be a surprise to anyone anymore. Pushing the cart up towards the man so she could lean against it as she spoke, Julie tipped head to one side before commenting on his selection. “I keep telling you the greens ones are more crunchy, when are you going to start listening to my wisdom?” Her voice was soft, but assertive.
