there was apart of riley that silently wondered how good of an idea all of this once . offering a sequel when the original almost didn't end so nicely but the vampire guessed , all of this , wasn't all their decision alone not that they would have voted against it . riley was all for the dramatics in a way and while they had someone to answer the door , it was riley who stood , practically floating out the room to welcome their guests . " riley shifted out of the way for the two to come inside .

august had heard the footsteps before their guests got to the door and wasn't surprised that riley was the one who beat him to getting to the door . always one step ahead , always a little extra and dramatic . he half wondered how far that would be pushed . the vampire stood , gaze lifting when the two stepped into the room , " gabriel , " august greeted simply . dakota didn't bother to stand or say anything from where he sat on the sofa , a leg crossed over the other . maybe he wasn't so excited for this as some of the others but he didn't opening oppose it . his gaze drifted , falling on joshua for a moment before looking ahead .

dakota had moved into his new apartment a few days ago and while he had all the intentions in the world of getting his shit together and put away , that didn't exactly happen , at least , not until late that night when he got the sudden urge to be productive . he had music , on low , playing in the background as he attempted to shift things out of the living room but was interrupted up by a knock on his door .

he approached , looking through the peephole before pulling open the door . " hi , " he spoke , glancing around before looking back at the one on the other side of his door . " can i help you ? " @morendodifame

maybe  it  was  a  bit  of  a  mistake  to  get  here  before  everyone  else  but  rory  had  a  feeling  that  her  siblings  wouldn’t  exactly  be  in  a  rush  to  get  here  and  most  would  probably  file  in  right  before  dinner  got  started .  “  this  is  going  to  be  interesting , “  rory  murmured  from  where  she  sat  on  the  back  porch ,  sipping  a  drink .  maybe  everyone  would  behave  themselves  but  if  history  was  anything  to  go  on ,  that  probably  wouldn’t  be  the  case .

riley knew how this party would most likely end . with a fight . with the cops being called and yet , she was there regardless . it wasn't as if she was going to turn down the possibility of free food let alone free booze . she knocked back a shot , her attention turning elsewhere when she noticed eyes on her .
