        "Don't you normally open the presents after you eat the cake?"

         "You got plans for Valentines Day yet or is there still time for me to sweep you off your feet?"

              "Bones         ..."

[ The word hardly escapes his lips. They don't feel real. He doesn't say anything else fearing if he does, the sob building in his chest would be released. ]

[ This can't be happening. Bones is so constant, so solid. If he dies Jim would be more alone than he ever had been. He won't stand for this, he'll fix it. He has to. ]
