Jonathan woke up and wondered why he suddenly felt cold, not the same comfortable cold he was once in the position he was in a few minutes or was that hours ago? He tried to open his eyes and look around, angling his head in a way that it wouldn't hurt too much and letting the small slits of his eyes be the way for him to see. That's when he noticed that he was alone, Emma was gone, probably of to bed. With him was only the beeping of the machine helping him up - nurses said he lost a lot of blood and a good amount of beating, apart from a few broken parts and torn flesh, he was at least steady... Sighing, he tried to find some water but of course with the limitations he had it was impossible, Jonathan hoped a nurse would come soon.
Wesley made his way to Jonathan's room shortly after his talk with Aidan. He knew that Jonathan was not in very good shape, but Doctor Fraiser was confident that he would make it through, so he trusted her words. He spoke with her briefly about his stasis and looked over his file before deciding how to go about telling Olivia about this. It would not be easy. Taking a breath, he went to his room and knocked before peeking in. "Jonathan?" To his surprise he was awake. According to the doctor, he has been asleep for a while now, but it seems like he's starting to bring himself back to life. "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked stepping into the room.
Jonathan blinked when he saw a silhouette, further inspection proved that it was Wesley, well... he was bound to show up sometime. "I feel like... i've been tortured -or wait I was." he said with a half grin. He didn't take the torture all too badly, it was part of the work. He would have rather not get hurt, but that was part of the whole thing, he couldn't really say no. "How... how's Aidan?" he croaked, his throat now desperately in need of water yet he needed to ask first how the other was doing. "His- his back?" He knew he got a lot of pain from what happened, almost five or so hours in a torture chamber, jeez. But Aidan, Aidan was shot in the back and his fingers were broken somehow, that was a different thing entirely.
Wesley shook his head, chuckling for more of Jonathan's benefit than the fact that his statement was amusing. "Yeah, you were tortured pretty bad. Congratulations though. You have joined the 'I Survived Being Tortured' club. We have buttons." While the torture he once endured was nothing like Jonathan's he figured that he would still get his point. "Aidan is fine. I had just finished talking with him, actually. He has some injuries, but nothing to worry about." Wesley looked down and shook his head. "His back is... well the doctors don't know the full extent of the damage yet. But Aidan will be fine. That is what is important." He took a seat next to Jonathan and noticed the little pitcher of water at his bedside. "Do you want anything? Water?"
Jonathan grinned, despite his... misgivings about Wesley and possible future thoughts about him, Jonathan felt he was a genuine guy somehow, right now though he appreciated the little banter. "I like buttons what else does the club has?" he asked before he coughed a bit and shook his head. Somehow, he hoped too that he'd get better - maybe the sun and sky would do better for him rather than a drab life in medical. He could even feel the gravity pull his skin down like an old man - and it wasn't even one week in. The agent pondered on those words for a moment before nodding, "Well... if he's alive I guess that's the best thing that could happen?" he wasn't even sure about that even --- but at least Aidan still had a way to be able to do things rather than nothing. Division would still keep him hopefully... When Wesley spoke again, Jonathan sighed out of gratitude. "That would be great." he said before turning to the pitcher. Slowly he tried to climb up, but it seemed his body was rejecting the push of his arms on the bed as he flailed down still - "Fuck..." he breathed and turned back to the water... that's probably why there was a straw. "I feel like a total loser..." he chuckled to himself rather dryly.
Wesley smiled at his joke, allowing himself to indulge in Jonathan's silliness for the time being. He knew that a little lightheartedness in this given situation would not hurt. "They also have t-shirts, but those are only for very dedicated members of the club. I don't advise you becoming one." He was glad that Jonathan appeared to be in a good enough mood to joke around, but given his personality, Wesley knew that he was jokes first and seriousness later. He hid the gravity of the situation with humor, something Wesley knew had good and bad qualities. In this particular circumstance, he would allow him to cope with what happened to him the way he wanted, at least for now that is. "Yes, that it true. And Aidan will definitely be alive." He remembered the promise he made his technician. Wesley did not take any of his promises seriously, but this was the one he intended on keeping. He poured water for Jonathan, stuck a straw in there and brought it to his lips so he could drink. "You are not a total loser, Jonathan. Perhaps only a slight one." He smiled to let him know that it was only a joke. "Don't worry. Once you're healed, you should be back to normal functions."
Jonathan finally just shook his head - he was amused and it felt good, at least as a starter before they get to the well, worse details that were to come. "That's ... that's great -" he said, alive which was probably going to be in both ways, one would be 'if alive from the mission' and the next would be 'if alive NOT to be cancelled..'. still Wesley didn't seem to be the type to let his agents die... From what Jason and Nathan told him before Jonathan should be wary of his handler... still, it would be bad rep for Wesley to have them killed somehow or not prove their worth right? Even in dying moments? Maybe he will keep Aidan alive, even if it's just for personal gain. Jonathan shook his head visibly to shake the thoughts away. It wasn't right, nor the time to be questioning Wesley with things even he didn't understand on the whole. At least for now. "Yeah, hopefully the sooner the better, I am tired of being in the bunkers, or just tired all in all." he said giving a weak smile - "do you- do you have any idea when the doctors would let me go or something? I don't have to go to the psych don't I?" he asked once he was finished with his drink.
Wesley nodded at him, understanding where he was coming from. Before he had been sent off on his mission, he was in the bunkers for a while, mainly to keep himself busy and Wesley suspected it was to prove his loyalty to Division. He was very upset about the fact they wouldn't let him keep his job and Wesley knew that eventually it would pass. It would have to. But perhaps it would be better if he talked to someone about it. He almost scoffed at the idea. Since when has talking about your feelings helped a situation. "The doctors don't want to let you go until they are certain that there is no possible bleeding in your brain so a week or two. The psychiatrists will have to have a session with you to discuss the mission, but I'll put that off for as long as possible. You should focus more on getting better physically than mentally for now." Besides he still wasn't sure what to make of the trouble duo and he didn't want Jonathan talking to someone who might do him more harm than good. Also, he didn't want them implanting negative thoughts in his head that might ruin whatever was left of their already fragile relationship.
Jonathan made a face, not like it did a big difference in showing disgust since his face pretty much was disgusting at this precise time anyway. "I guess i'd understand that..." he shrugged, or as close to a shrug that he could do. After all, he wasn't that hard of a person to -not follow- the rules. He knew that it was important he stay in medical and talk to the psychs, even if he didn't want to. It was better not to fight it anyway - as long as he followed the rules -like he always did at times - then nothing would go wrong, at least nothing would go wrong with him or to him. The least he wanted was to find out he'd be cancelled for something as silly as not following a simple thing that ticked Division off. "I guess a few more days here wouldn't hurt." he sighed before turning his eyes back to Wesley, "You think Division isn't going to cancel me for this right?" he asked, clear curiosity in his voice. He just needed to know he would be staying in Division as an agent - as a living human being - then maybe he can go to sleep again.
Wesley smirked a little and nodded. "Don't worry, Jonathan, you'll be out of here before you know it." Considering he would be asleep for most of that time, Wesley trusted that he wouldn't even realize how much time has gone by. He smiled at his recruit and shook his head. "Division won't cancel you, that much I can be certain. There is no long term damage to you and there is no reason for them to cancel you right now. You shouldn't worry about that." He put the water down and stood up. "You should rest. We can talk more when you feel up for it." With that he started walking out the room, feeling another headache come on as he thought about all of the paperwork he would have to do for this mission.
