Where: The Garden Festival - by a flower stall
The fact that her day off had not only fallen on a weekend but also the opening of the Garden Festival felt like a positive to Julia, and she didn’t often say that easily. The sun was shining which improved her mood and reminded her for a second what Aurora had going for it that Boston didn’t and that was all year round good weather. Even if it had some very bad things as well to balance it out. Or at least people to be more specific. Still, any light that wasn’t the cold industrial blue light in the hospital that seemed to make her skin more sallow by the day was to be considered a small win. Wandering along the lush stalls of flowers that lined the side of the street she came across a section of bright orange California poppies which were incredibly striking. “Eschscholzia californica…” she murmured under her breath, not realising she was stood directly next to someone else, nor was she being as quiet as she thought she was. @roxdelrosario
