Clark had been wandering for a bit as he tried to get a feel for the place. Truthfully he had wanted to be anywhere but here. His truck was already packed for a fourth of July weekend in his cabin. Lots of fishing, grilling and keeping to himself. But he had a role to fulfill and so there he was, checking every corner, studying every face, wanting to make sure he was alert and ready to help people escape any kind of situation. He was honestly surprised they were having this event after the fires but he supposed a party in New York didn't stop for much. He had just entered the restaurant in the courtyard when he saw Cleo, his instinct to turn and hide but since running into her a few weeks ago he had to admit he was curious enough to see her again. But he wasn't sure if that was because of him or her general siren song.
"What's on the menu?" Were the words he decided on as he approached her table and slid into the chair across from her. "You think they got chicken tenders on there?" He laughed and shook his head, sure it was a bad joke. "Am I crashing your solo date?" @cleofms
