Born Again {Flashback: 1236} || Hadrian & Arran
@hadrianmordecai
Two days. Longer still... Arran had lost the faculty to properly tell lengths of time; all he could focus on was enduring this worst pain imaginable and pain beyond that. He way laying on a bed in a pitch black room (the faintest of light only burned his eyes and made the skull splitting headaches spear harder) and moaning pathetically as he frailly turned from side to side, heaving at times when the nausea became too much, though he’d yet to be sick.
His tongue was thick in his mouth and twitchy fingers grabbed and pulled at sweat-soiled bed sheets. Why was he doing this? What had he done wrong? Was it a punishment from God? He couldn’t recall, all he knew was pain and suffering in darkness. He rolled again, the bedsheets too scratchy for his back, everything hurt his skin so he wore only his underwear but it felt as though the air around him was a filled with phantom blades nicking him every second.
The door opened and his moans grew louder, the fraction of light let in shooting though his brain like an arrowhead; a weak hand rose to cradle his temple while his laboured breathing stuttered for moment. Who was this? He couldn’t see...
“F-father? Mother?” his hoarse voice weakly called, they’d never had time for him before, were they here now since death was close? It felt as such to his delirious mind.
