As Chester walks into the Hellmouth to meet Will, he couldn't help but feel relieved Will was okay. Or just that he was alive.  He expected the absolute worst when Will dropped off the grid and their last conversations hadn't exactly been pleasant. Will had seriously hurt Chess' feels at the time and Chess had gone right back to feeling completely alone despite being a town where he was generally well-liked. As he spots the hunter, he approaches him without saying a word. Just a raise of his hand to let him know Chess had seen him.  A little dramatic? Yes. But as Chester's friend, Will had to put up with the bit of drama from the warlock not matter if he liked it or not.

Chester had a long day, most of it spent at his grandfather’s shop cleaning stuff up as well as organizing funeral things. So the tired face of defeat he wore was expected, Dropping down the short steps to the pavement, he looked up rubbing his forehead. As he sees his friend Will not too far, he jogged towards the hunter with a grin on his face. “Hey, you handsome son of a gun.” He grinned as he slams his hand playful on Will’s shoulders before standing next to him, walking along. “What are you doing for lunch? I’m hungry and need a reason to say my day is less shitty.”

Chester was still rattled about everything. He knew better than anyone that it’d take time to even start to feel like himself but where he could go in Mystic Falls that didn’t remind him now of the things Luciano did? And really there is no chance things could go back to the way they had. Even then, Chester had struggled to adjust back to reality when he died and was brought back.  It’s horrible but as worried about himself as he is, he’s worried about everyone else who was in the same position as him. He’s always been selfless in that sense. Will more than the others. He was worried. The texts hid a subtext he caught onto and though he wasn’t keen to do any magic at all for a while, he needed to find him. Something just didn’t seem right and he’d find out even if Will wasn’t prepared. Eventually, find him, his heart sank. “Will?” The warlock has a saddened expression on his face. His friend looked in a worse state than he was. Usually, the roles were reversed and Will was the strength between them. “W-What..-” he cuts himself off. He doesn’t know what to say. But he wasn’t living. Will had been there for him in his lowest so he’d return the action a million times over if he could. The hunter meant too much to him.  @eldestbrownhunter

Though he took a while to figure out what to eat, he’d eventually settle on a burgers place around the square of Mystic Falls before making his way over to the Brown residence. With that kind of thing, he’s naturally indescive. Will’s friendship was one the most treasured he had at the minute. He’d been there for him at his highest lows and most of his hights too especially when he’d come back and wanted to really be alone, Will was kind of his go-to person to talk to. “Brown! British warlock and food delivery’s arrived!” He called. Naturally, he’s added a joke in there. @eldestbrownhunter
