chester + verses
VERSE 1: (post!iotdrpg) Chester is continuing to live his absolutely best life as the messy and kind warlock boy that he is. For the most type, heâs got his shit together finally. Life is kinda okay?Â
VERSE 2: (iotdprg!reset) Chess when he first got to town. The start of Chesterâs journey in Mystic Falls. Chester is a troublesome young warlock with an issue with authority. He lives with his grandfather and his cousin, Andrew who is equally rebellious. Not much baggage on him. He has a yolo fuck attitude and isnât very mature.Â
VERSE 3: (human!chester) After Chess died at the hands of the demon Dante and was resurrected, he struggled to do magic. Itâs been months and he canât even light a candle without a match. His magics gone and he feels useless and unmotivated at a talent he just feels liked he got the hand of for the first time in his life.Â
VERSE 4: (vampire!chester) When Dante, killed Chester in his grandfather, Chester actually had vampire blood in his system after being heeled for some injuries. Chess woke up in transition. This verse revolves around that journey.Â
VERSE 5 (demon!chester) Chester died when he killed by Dante but wanted to take his brother's place in going to Hell. So he did. He was taken from the Other Side. and spent years in Hell until his soul was burnt and he was released by someone back to Mystic Falls. He has no memory of who he was or why he was in Hell in the first place. Chesterâs always been a troublemaker but as a demon? Itâs a little bit or totally worse.Â
As much as he could have told his best friend he was stopping by for a visit, the idea of a surprise and spontaneous visit that wasnât in the slightest bit planned was much more up Chesterâs alley. Of course, theyâd spoken about him leaving Mystic Falls to go spend some time with her and Henrik, but telling Hazel when he was on his way would ruin all the fun or definitely half of the fun of his entire plan so he booked his plane ticket as soon as he could get some time of his work, which was now, modelling and acting. Something perfect for him the more he thought about it. He sat outside a cafe with a cup of warm tea in his hand and a sandwich that was half-eaten. And if anybody could find the exact whereabouts itâd been him. So when he saw across the street. He tilted his head down and picked up his phone to call her, unable to resist the smug smirk now on his lips. âHey, Hazelnut!â He acted as though this was another one of just there daily to weekly catch-ups. âBit of an odd question! Can you look straight ahead? Do you see a handsome gentleman drinking tea with a blue jumper on right now?â Obviously referring to himself before he grows way too humoured by himself where he eventually looks directly across to her. Putting his tea down but leaving his bag at his seated table to run up to her and go hug the other witch. His best friend. His coven.    //   @littlexmissbadassâ

He missed her so much, and frankly, it sucked. Loving people sucked. Sure, he felt amazing, when he was actually loved. He thought he didnât need the feeling, but it had gotten so addictive. It was like a drug, and his brain kept firing and telling him to find her, to go get that love, even though it was selfish, just to get past the withdrawal. But Leviâs pride was just as strong a force. He felt like bringing his walls down was for nothing, and chasing after someone who didnât want him? There was no point. He wasnât going to grovel. He wasnât going to beg. Because even though Levi was a fighter, he knew when things were over. This felt over. âYou know â I love it when people say that to me,â he quirked an eyebrow, throwing in a wink at Chester just to make him melt a little bit. Maybe it was his way of feeling desirable. After feeling so rejected, he needed the little boost. Because he was fairly confident Chester wouldnât reject him at this point. They had somehow formulated an odd friendship that was just a lot of dicking around, but he was fine with that. His heart felt too heavy at the moment to delve into the serious side of this friendship. âIâm only good with the one. And I think thatâs just because he canât talk or do much yet except for shit and eat and cry. Honestly, sounds like this shit right now,â Levi, honestly, with all of the whiskey heâd been drinking might have to shit or eat soon. Heâd gotten most of the crying out already. âWell, next time I got him, ya can meet him, Harry Potter. Just donât make any sparks fly out of your fingers nâ freak the little dude out.â Levi chuckled, only to shake his head, âAh donât worry man,â he clapped Chester on the back, âIâm still, what most of these townies would describe as an âevil dick.â
Chester didnât trust too many people around here anymore. He was too easily forgiven. Too easily hurt. To easily left. Heâs a good friend and his kindness, his golden heart, is both his top strength and biggest weakness. At least if he could trust anyone to be brutally honest with him and he could do the same, it was Levi. At least, it had someone gotten to be him after all their strange differences and clashes. He could judge Levi on all the bad shit he did but truth be told, he couldnât hold onto that forever. Not when heâd seen worse. Hell, he had done worst and he couldnât forget that either. It a lot of ways, they were pretty alike. A similar knack for taking the piss out of one another. And from the way Chess knew himself, he saw in Levi stuff. That he looked alone and he was alone too. The wink wasnât too bad a feeling. He got that a lot but this was cool so he just grinned wider. âPromise. Iâll save that for a birthday or something. No need to spend money on cheap matches or lighters you lose all the time. Or your money will be back guaranteed.â The warlock jokes around even more to distract himself. Chess finding Levi attractive wasnât a secret. Heâd told him. But doing anything about it was a bad choice and heâs kind of tired of his bad choice but heâs always a little tempted but doing stupid shit. Especially around Levi. âA dick, sure. I donât think your evil.â And thatâs honest. Kind of weird considering heâd made him out to be evil before but he knows there are bigger evils in the world. Heâd seen them. The Mikaelsonâs. Lucifer. Hell in general and Dante who killed his grandfather. He shuffles a little more in his seat before he just sort of stares at him before bravely kissing him. Not only because he could have done it a long time ago, but because he figured itâd keep Leviâs mind off whatever shit was bugging him. Truth be told, he needed to forget a lot of stuff on his mind too.Â

mrs-elenaxsalvatoreâ:
Elena stopped on her tracks when she heard someone calling on her name, and she chuckled while turning around to face him, âChester Lawrenceâ, she bowed her head and waiting till he was by her side to give him a warm hug. âOui monsieurâ, Elena said with a smile, âParis was definitely the start of a new beginning. What else this little birdie told you?â, she questioned.
âWell, considering the little birdie Iâm talking about is, Damon, you can imagine how much heâs going to tell me about your amazing rendezvous in France. Guess a man doesnât kiss and tell. Had me jealous really.â Chess laughs. Heâs kind of happy to catch up with Elena. When he first got to town, she was easily the most welcome person heâd known so Mystic Falls being his home now, itâs mainly in a result of her. âYou were sick? Are you okay now?âÂ
fertileleviâ:
It was easier to joke around than to think about her. If he thought about her any longer, his head might explode. The truth was that he loved her more than anything but his son. Correction: Levi still loves Bellamy. He wished he could turn it off. He felt broken without her. He felt like she was it for him. The one heâd do all the domestic shit with. The one heâd settle down with. But he was wrong. And Levi hated being wrong. Especially when it came with a price like this. âWe always knew you had a soft spot for me,â he retorted. Chester thought Levi was hot and Levi knew it. Levi thought the same about the other, but he wasnât as vocal about it. Levi was sure that Chester knew, anyway. Even if he didnât say it a lot. On the other hand, Levi told Bellamy that he loved her all the time and look what happened with that. âOf course you did, you shithead,â he shook his head in amusement. âKinda,â he admitted, before taking his drink in his hand and swirling around the amber liquid absentmindedly. âYeah, whenever, I got him when Iâm not workinâ. Do I needa do some official shit to make you his godfather or what?â He didnât really see the need for a godfather, but he trusted Chester, the warlock didnât seem to have a truly bad bone in his body, and Roman needed as many parents as he could have, anyway.
He doesnât exactly know what the specifics of Leviâs situation were but something about his mood was ragingly familiar considering what had happened to Chess not too long ago. He was happy after what seemed like ages with Tristan and now he was just gone. Like every other relationship, heâd had in town. Even most of his friendships now too. He doesnât feel like leaving but wouldnât know much to stick around for either. Just a couple of buddies. He just knows, that in before in his situation, when he was alone, he didnât exactly want the solitude even when he asked for it. âYeah, yeah. Whatever you say, pal.â Levi had grown on him a lot. Theyâd been pals to enemies and back again. It was strange and yet, that all was probably a test. Chess is deadly loyal to his friends and Levi fell into that now. Itâs growth and many people donât actually grow on Chess. He either likes them from the start or hates them from the start. Not much room for inbetween until now. Truth be told, he would have slept with Levi a long time ago. And itâs only now that heâs considering it again. âNothing official. Guess it starts when I see him. Iâm good with kids. I donât really know why?â He shrugged in his honesty but babies and toddlers just seemed to gravitate towards him. âAnd well, I am magic, so...works wonders.â He smirked before dowing the rest of his drink Levi had gotten him. âSo whenever the little guy needs me, Iâm around. Works chill for me. Offer does stan with you as well, man. I missjudged you a little too quickly.â He nudged him. Sure, theyâd gotten a rough start but heâs pretty glad Leviâs around him so they keep each otherâs personalities in check as well as complement each other every now and then. He always did like someone who could keep up with him.Â
formerpsychokillerâ:
Thatâs actually true. Iâve been there a few times. It was great and yeah, we did all the romantic shit. The only bad thing was that Elena got sick.â
Well, yeah. M always right. At least, itâs not going so bad for me. Glad to have you back in one piece. Pretty sure Caroline and Stefan would have missed you both. As long as you both had a good time, Iâm right as rain.Â

âHmm, I think I do, canât miss those shirtless pictures,â he joked, before adding, âI havenât really been on any of them since the election though. With the new job, Roman, andâŠâ he was going to say Bellamy, but stopped himself before he could finish the sentence, as his eyes started to sting. He didnât need to cry in front of Chester, or anyone in Mystic Falls. Itâd ruin his image. He still needed to be respected by the people who still respected him in this town. If not respected, at least feared.  He chuckled, âWell, I think youâre pretty far off from that. In this town, youâll probably die before it happens, anyway.â Morbid, yes, but also kind of true. Levi was just hoping he lived long enough for Roman to be a teenager and he hoped Skye lived long enough to put him through college. âLucky Iâm in the mood for ya to be somewhat demanding,â he retorted, only to wave the bartender over and order them two whiskeys.
At least he was joking around with him. That means he wasnât wholly in whatever kind of funked shit mood he was in. There was hope and Chester didnât have to try to hard to be a friend and pull him out of it. Itâd just come naturally. And just from his speech alone, he got the hint with the way he stopped himself. âWell, itâs just for you, man. Just for you.â The witch gave him a playful wink as he looked around the bar just to have a slight awareness of people in the room. â I should make an OnlyFan page. And get people paying for my service.â He shuffles in his seat a little before he continued to listen. Truth be told, he wanted to laugh at that too. Chess had already died. It wasnât pretty but heâd been luckily revived, unlike his grandfather. The adjustment took a while but heâs back to his old self. Maybe even a better version having come out the other side. Both in the metaphorical and literal sense. âI honestly stopped listening you said âWell, I think youâre prettyâ because, cheers, I really am, arenât I?â He tilts his head to the side before cheering at the arrival of his their drinks a few moments later. âHope that ainât a complaint. I thought Iâd grown on you, dickâ Chester smirked. âCan I meet my Godkid soon? I wanna hang with the little guy. His dadâs annoying me.â Chess shot a glance, obviously kidding.Â
astridxkingâ:
Alice nodded enthusiastically. Astrid was the best, in her opinion. âHe leaves out the part where he used to sing back to me.â She lifted a brow and Alice giggled. âI like Hercules. Pegasus is my favourite.â Alice nodded, admittedly quite distracted trying to eat her ice-cream before it melted all over her hands. âOh.â Astridâs face visibly saddened and she looked towards the warlock with a small shake of her head. âIâm sorry, I didnât know you knew him.â Otherwise, sheâd have told him sooner. Her face almost spelt it all out for him though, she hoped, she didnât want to have to say it again, as much for her own sanity as well as not wanting Alice to hear it again. Astrid just tried to give him a look that would speak for her, though the glaze of tears in her eyes werenât forced, they came naturally just like they always did whenever she thought about him. When she thought he understood, she cleared her throat and looked away, offering Alice a smile even though she wasnât looking at them. âI didnât uh- I didnât know you had a little brother,â Astrid commented, curiously, turning to look at him with a lifted brow. âYou radiate big dad? Oh my god. I canât believe you just said that aloud.âÂ
âAh, so youâve got great taste little one. Good on ya!â He cheered. Hercules was by far Chester favourite film. Best music in his opinion next to Aladdin, his other favourite Disney film. âI mean, small town. Kinda know everyone at this point. Iâm very friendly.â He kind of gets this sinking feeling his gut somethings very wrong but shrugs his off for the sake of not wanting to shake his very happy mood around Astrid and especially Alice. Itâs like heâs trying hard to retain that gleaming smile he had on but itâs a little forced in the back of his mind. Sure, he and the Winchesterâs werenât the closest but they were his friends. Chester still feels a little cheated of not having little community the hunters around Mystic Falls had. His dad was a hunter and just didnât want him growing up in that life. Not to add to the equation, heâs a witch too. It was a huge missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle heâd only gotten to finish until about last year. She looked like she was about to cry, so he just moved a hand to her shoulder to comfort her. That sinking feeling worse before a realization almost came over his entire body. âOh.â He kind of mutters processes it for a second before moving back on. Shit. Should he have said something to Sam last time he saw him. He had questions buts fine. People around here die all the time. Hell, Chester had died too. âI have two brothers. Dominicâs my older. â Usually, he wouldnât have added the part they were actually half brothers, but since theyâve settled their difference, he just leaves it. No half. Fully his brother. âAnd Michaelâs my younger. Heâs coming up sixteen next year.â Chesterâs proud. He loves his brother and being away from him was difficult. It means he missed seeing him grow all the time. âDamn straight, I said it! Benji would agree with me.â Chester itched his neck. âWe should go for a coffee sometime. I miss ya, Astroid.âÂ
sixpackstefâ:
Stefan canât help but chuckle, shaking his head in amusement before responding, âI meanâI wouldnât do it. But it seems unmalicious enough, and wholly in character, so go for it.â He didnât believe for one second that he was just âasking for a mateâ. He noticed the otherâs jovial mood, but didnât pry, figuring that if Chester had good news to share he would tell him soon enough.
He pretends to have a shocked facial expression. âWholy in character? The fuck. Iâll have you know, Iâve been very, very fucking good lately, Stefan.â He spoke as seriously as he could given the hilarity of the situation at hand. Chester put Benji down, half expecting him to run off to have his freedom in the park but he stood with him. âSpeaking of character, I did something while you were in captivity I completely forgot about until like, two days ago.â Chester itched his nose, not really knowing how to feel but figuring his best friend would be happy for him. âHad an audition. For some short film. Had me singing and everything...â He was nervous for a response. Mainly because he remembers Stefan saying he should go for it a long time ago and he was finally doing it. It just felt wrong with the timing bu the went for his best friend and it went decently in his mind. Well, enough for him to get the part.Â
hendrixrubyâ:=
* One of Rubyâs favourite places to sit was in the middle of the park on a particular bench. It was the perfect place to watch people running through the park, the people who loitered and the people who had a story behind them. Her attention turned from watching a couple clearly on a first date that it was almost puke-worthy to the voice that was asking her a question. âWhoever told you it wasnât acceptable is lying. Revenge is so much more fun so I prefer the term âmorally ambiguousâ. I would take anything I say with a pinch of salt for that reason.â
âYou know who told me that? My conscience. Good to know I still have one but the likelihood Iâm gonna listen to it? Slim to none.â Chester did dumb shit all the time. Heâd always owned it but now, due to years of living in Mystic Falls just as his experience, he knows when a when not to listen to his gut instinct of doing the right thing. âHeâs too cute. They wonât see it coming really. And he Benji shits more than any dog Iâve ever known, I fucking swear.â He laughs as pulled his dog closer to his chest like a baby. âMorally ambiguous, aye? Whatâs the more morally ambiguous thing youâve ever done?â Chess likes cutting to the chase. It gives him a better sense of people to know whether to stick around or bounce.Â
leosheppâ:
âOh yeah.â Leo nodded his head just barely. His life had never been perfect, but it hadnât been bad either. It seemed to all decide to go to shit at once and now he barely had much but for what he did have? If he were any more grateful for it, he might explode. âWell,â he turned his head to the side to look at Chester, at the same time reaching to take the blunt back from him. âIf youâre going through something big or small, itâs still something.â Thatâs how he saw it anyway. Looking up at the sky once again Leo thought about the question. It was a simple answer, yes, thatâs all he really had to say but it just made him almost go rewind everything he had been doing for months. âYeah, I mean, itâs been a weird time for me but Iâm getting used to it now. I spend a lot of time with Maddie too, so thatâs always the highlight of my days. What have you been doing?â
âShit, Maddie, huh? Maddie like looks into my soul and I shit a brick.âHe loves the Browns. All of them but obviously, heâs closest with Will so he didnât hear about everything. Chesterâs honestly glad he gets this time with Leo. He should have been looking out for the guy more. And they were friends? At least, to some small extent. He should have tried much harder. âDidnât realize you two were together. Thatâs cute as shit, man.â Chester gave him a huge grin before looking up at the sky, reclined comfortably on the grass. âWhat have I been doing? I sang for an audition. A pal of mine thinks Iâm trying to be the next âTom Cruiseâ and honestly, I think that's a joke about my height but Iâll take it. Scientology and all. Iâm a witch, so my coven back homeâs basically like that. And man, if I was in an action movie like Mission Impossible, Iâd never get tired of work. So thatâs been my thing lately.â Chess likes making a fool of himself and is pretty confident, so really, actings a profession heâd excel in, right? â Oh, and my mum and brother are going to be visiting for my birthday in August. Thatâs fun too.â He took a second before clarifying himself once he thought more about it. âOh, not Dominic. I have a younger brother too. MichaelâÂ
