The last time she’d seen Amelia, Andy had told her she was pregnant again and also finally worked up the courage to leave the aurors. She’d watched Amelia do it and knew she could follow. Though her circumstances where clearly a little different, Andromeda trusted Amelia in a way she trusted few others. Years of being in the field together had gifted them that. There was always a part of her that admired Amelia, a small part of her that wondered if she hadn’t found Ted and started a family she’d be in the same place.
Sliding into their usual booth Andromeda knew Amelia would be on time, they always were. The waitress came over to her table and Andy ordered seltzer for herself and whiskey sour for Amelia already knowing what she’d want. Before she’d even finished Andy saw the other woman pass through the doorway.
“Hey, good to see you stranger.” Andy said with a grin, more glad to see her then she would admit. “I put in drinks for us already.”
