plot: roxanne was about to walk away in the middle of an argument with your muse, but they try to stop her because they're not done yet (either b/c they want to make up/come to a resolution or because they still have stuff to say)

With a groan, the brunette turn around to face the other. “What do you want,” she asked monotonously. Her expression was blank; a clear attempt on Roxanne’s part to communicate that she was doing this against her will. She had no desire to keep the argument going. As far as she was concerned, they had both said their piece and there was no hope for reconciling. At least not at this stage in time, where their wounds were still wet. “I thought we were done talking.” Putting her hands in her pockets as she waited for them to speak.

From the second she got home, something felt off. She couldn't put her finger on it. It was just a gut feeling that something had happened in her absence. Something that was out of the ordinary and needed to be checked out. The first place to check was the bedroom. The closer Roxanne got to the door of the bedroom, the more the feeling grew that something wasn’t right. Right before she stepped of the threshold, she announced her presence: “What’s going on?” Her tone was a lot calmer than she felt.
