he’s not sure how much time has passed since he last saw the sun. the kryptonite had been keeping him weak, but the lack of sun had left him without any kind of hope. he had started to wonder if he would just die in the darkness, if that had been his fate all along. (or maybe he was just too weak without his powers).

the sudden light has him trying to crawl towards the source. he can hardly move, thanks to the green rock taped to his chest, and more around the room, but it doesn’t matter. it is the first chance he’s had in… he doesn’t know how long. and then…

“bob?” his voice is barely there, broken and just above a whisper. “bob… you g-gotta… gotta get this… off of me.” his arms can barely move to gesture to what he means. but he hopes the bright green glow makes it obvious.
