Cookie to AC villager #3: Sparkling Cookie

Type: Smug Ostrich villager

ramblings and explanations(?) under the cut

First things first, I was obligated to make him a yellow bird to match the Conductor from A Hat in Time (if you don’t know, The Conductor and Sparkling Cookie share voice actors)

I originally tried to make Sparkling an eagle. It didn’t work, mainly because I couldn’t give him his iconic hair swoop, so ostrich it was.

I unintentionally made his wing feathers resemble beer in a mug and I thought him having his tail feathers down would give a more charming appearance.

sort of wish animal crossing villagers could have more expressive body language (swishing/wagging tails and tail feathers, moving ears, random animal-like actions). I think it would bring more life into the villagers, but I get the animal crossing models aren’t really made to be expressive or too flexible.

ooh yay sprite edits! firecracker x birthday cookie? or if sprites aren’t fully released for that roguefort x sparkling?

I’m not sure about Firecracker x BC because I’m unsure if BC is a child or not (and shipping her with a canonical child is iffy) but these two? They’re gay.
