I keep trying to get others to watch Scissor Seven, but they all give up because of the silly. I have no clue how they are friends with me if they cannot handle a mix of goofiness and amnesiac shadow assasin with a COOL-ASS SWORD.

If you're seeing this, please give the show a shot. It's ~5 seasons now, and it has a fun mix of art styles that shift with the tone of the series(silly to serious). The music is also a bop, if that does it for you.
