FULL REVIEW: 

MONSTER ELEMENTS WIRELESS HEADPHONES ( on ear ) 

We first want to give full disclosure that this particular pair of headphones were purchased at retail price and were not given for a bias review. 

We pick the on ear “Rose Gold” version for our selection for review. We broke it down into 4 catagories - ( Build, Comfort, Features, and Sound Quality). 

BUILD: 

These headphone are made of plastic and soft memory pads. The plastic is not very sturdy especially priced at $249, but if handled with care and not thrown in any carry bag then they should last for a while. 

They do fold up for storage and fit nicely in the included carry pouch by Monster. The hinges have metal screws which is a good choice to have in a headphone. 

The Rose Gold look is very nice! We really enjoyed the overall stylish look of the headphone. We can easily see these being a fashion accessory. The glossy material attracts finger prints, which may be a turn off for some consumers. We thought it wasn’t a deal breaker since it comes with it’s own cleaning cloth with the Monster product branding. 

Overall, the build quality is not the best, but yet not the worst. It’s light weight and very portable.

COMFORT: 

Since these headphones are soft on the ear, they may be comfortable for most, but not for those with bigger than the average head sizes. We had no issues we it came to comfort. The ear pads are super soft with memory foam. The headband is also super soft and rests nicely on the top of your head. 

We can easily say these are a good solid easy wearing (on ear) headphones. The only drawback would be the limited headband stretch on these headphones. The can only be fitted for people with an average head size. People with wider or bigger head sizes will not like the overall fit of this headphones. We would strongly recommend getting the “Over the Ear” version for better chances of comfort.

FEATURES: 

These are wireless headphones and some features on this set of headphones may be of your liking. The have “Swipe Touch” controls on the right side of the headband. When you swipe up or down it controls the volume. When you tap once it plays / pause your tracks or answers calls. When you tap twice it skips forward on your tracks or songs. When you triple tap it skips back to a previous track or song. 

It also has a power button to run your bluetooth off your selected device. The bluetooth power life runs for 20 hours on a full charge. It takes about 2 hrs to fully charge them. If the power dies out you can run them in wired mode with a 3.5mm cable. This is a very convenient feature to have. 

One other cool feature we enjoyed is the “Direct USB Audio” - which is basically connecting your headphones via USB to your tablet / laptop. This comes in handy when you have Hi-res audio files in your selected device. You can hear the difference between your standard 3.5mm. This only way this works if you change your audio settings on your computer or laptop and if the actual audio file has higher quality than a standard CD. 

One last note to mention is the bluetooth range. It’s range is really great! We walked around different places with walls in between and it worked just great. No break in the bluetooth mode. Phone calls sounded decent for the most part on the wireless mode.

SOUND QUALITY:

First off, let us tell you these headphones are intended for the average consumer on the go! Audiophiles will not be too impressed by their sound quality.

Now if you are someone who wants good solid bass presence in your music, then these might be your cup of tea. When don’t want to give you the impression that these headphones are bass heavy, but they have some bass presence. 

The mid range on these headphones is very pleasing to the ear. The vocals are nice and clear. The Highs are not too bright and will be easy to listen to without any ear piercing sounds. The low end is nice and punchy in certain genres of music. The overall sound on these headphones fun sounding and not too overwhelming on the bass. These are great for on the go because it has adequate noise passive isolation. We think many average consumers will really enjoy the overall sound, especially for streaming music.
