I think I’m one of a small group of @Twins fans who really liked Zack Granite (@zack_granite) & thought he had a future in the #Twins outfield. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out and, in my opinion, it was because of an injury-plagued season at AAA in 2018 that saw him hit .211/.282/.245 (Average/On-Base %/Slugging %) but he had hit very well in AAA the year prior which led to him getting a chance with the Twins but it was sporadic. He played on 40 games, starting just 22 of them but he did have a nice 13-game stretch from July 17th - August 1st where he started 13 consecutive games & he hit .306/.358/.327 (15-for-49) with 1 double, 7 RBIs, 4 walks & 2 stolen bases in 4 attempts while striking out 7 times. The Twins had to make a decision late in February of 2018 so they DFA’d (Designated For Assignment) him and ended up trading him to Texas. He did pretty good in Texas’ AAA in 2019 then became a free agent and he was just invited to @Yankees Spring Training so good luck to Zack in ST. You may not be a Zack Granite fan so maybe you would’ve went with Nick Punto (aka Lil’ Nicky Punto) or Ron Coomer #CoomDog but maybe most likely 1987 #WorldSeries Champ Gary Gaetti. #TheRat!
