#btw Dale's comment about Annie's viewing the world with ''the innocence similar to that of a child'' does sound weird out of context yeah but when you think about his own innocent child like wonder that is displayed many times throughout the series and his speech on ''looking upon the world with love'' it's like yeah of course he loves that about her he's found a kindred spirit! They are incredibly similar with their positive outlook on the world despite the pervasive darkness surrounding their lives.

#like i truly do nooooottttt think it is predatory and weird like many other instances of something similar being said about one's partner #and like yeah i get why people would find it strange but also like show not tell who else looks upon the world with innocence similar to #that of a child oh yeah the guy who excitedly asks what trees are in the area and gives himself a present everyday #''hes older than her!'' ok but she is not a high schooler like audrey and is also a grown woman hope this helps <3 #normally i don't defend relationships with these aspects but it just makes sense for them like god forbid a couple be whimsical #also there's lowkey a whole thing where they make not treating annie like a child and her acting on her wants and desires as an adult woman #when she's had mental health struggles and devoted herself too faith an important aspect her character and journey and i find that #good and refreshing tbh #anyway once again annie and daleannie they could never make me hate you <3 #apparently i'm the only person to think about them this deeply because none of you gaf </3 #twin peaks #dale cooper #annie blackburn #coopburn #cooperannie

The fact that Annie and Dale don't have a commonly used ship name makes me sad they deserve one I love them
